CARING FOR YOUR GOLDENDOODLE
Everything You Need to Know About Caring For Your New Addition
Goldendoodles are relatively easy-to-care-for dogs . . . But everyone needs a little TLC! Here are some of the most important things new parents of Goldendoodle puppies should know.
Goldendoodle Pupp Care Tips

Bathing & Grooming Your Goldendoodle Puppy
Bathe your puppy as needed with puppy shampoo. Towel or blow dry very carefully, and be careful not to let your puppy get chilled. We recommend taking your goldendoodle puppy to a professional groomer for a “puppy cut.”

Puppy Vetting
Your puppy should have the next inoculation as recommended by your vet. Take a stool specimen with you to the vet for examination.

Puppy Feeding
Feed your puppy regular puppy food. We recommed TLC Brand !
Your Goldendoodle will need puppy food until their first birthday. After that, swap over to adult dog food. We recommend a holistic diet, as described on our Holistic Doodle Diet page.
Fresh water should be constantly available to your Goldendoodle.
Training Your Goldendoodle Puppy
While Goldendoodles are naturally gentle, intelligent, and eager to please, it’s still extremely important to provide training for your puppy. Working with a reputable trainer will ensure that your Goldendoodle puppy is well-mannered and obedient as they grow from little balls of fluff into adult dogs. Plus, your trainer can help your dog learn some fun party tricks, too!
We partner with a fabulous trainer and are actually able to begin your puppy’s training while they’re still in our home. For more information about this service—or about what we recommend in terms of general training—please visit our Training page.
